Order poinsettias by November 7th, 2008.

The Alter Guild is taking orders for poinsettias for you to purchase for $6 each.  If you would like to purchase one or more poinsettias for use in the sanctuary for Christmas Eve please fill out an envelope on the table in the narthex and place it along with payment in the box.   Checks should be made to Faith Lutheran Church.

September 15, 2008 - FLS Closure for Hurricane Ike Recovery

  • FLS is closed Monday 9/15/08.
  • Continue to tune into KSAM 101.7 for up-to-the-minute information on closures for the rest of the week.
September 12, 2008 - FLS Closure for Hurricane Ike

  • FLS will close Friday 9/12/08 at noon.
  • FLS will be OPEN on Monday 9/15/08 if the school has power. 
  • Tune into KSAM 101.7 for up-to-the-minute information on Monday morning.

August 26, 2008 - Pastoral Profile Survey Is Now Available

  • A hard copy of the survey is being delivered to each member's box.  Members may complete the survey online or may complete it by hand and return it to the church office.
  • Either way, EACH member of Faith Lutheran Church is asked to complete the Pastoral Profile Survey.
  • The Call Committee of Faith Lutheran Church and the Texas District, LCMS will use the results to identify an appropriate list of candidates.
  • The survey window is scheduled to close September 15, 2008.

  • The Faith Lutheran Church Board of Elders - Jimmy Meekins, Ron Goerdel, Doug Dretke, Richard Henriksen, Don Kraemer (Congregational President), Dick Hansen, Bud Byrne, Ray Teske, Dickie Pustejovsky, Darren Williams (not-pictured), Larry Cobb (not-pictured)  - developed a pastoral profile survey and a congregational health survey so that the members of Faith Lutheran Church may share their vision for the future.
  • The details of how and when the surveys will be available are forthcoming.
